Monsters have always had a grip on the human psyche. From medieval bestiaries to Dracula to Star Trek’s Borg, they roam the perimeter of the place we call normality.
The word comes from the Latin monstrum, meaning omen or warning. What are monsters warning us about? And what does that tell us about ourselves?
